What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a complete way of life. As a holistic health system comprising diet, Yoga, massage, detoxification, herbal remedies, meditation and daily lifestyle, Ayurveda improves not only a person's health, but also their well being, behaviour and state of mind.

Everyone has some idea of Yoga as it has become an integral part of health and fitness. But Yoga is not only about performing certain positions and breathing exercises. When combined with Ayurvedic principles, the effects of Yoga practice are enhanced. This includes a lifestyle which comprises of food, diet, massage, Yoga according to your individual constitution and mental status. During this one day workshop Dr Deepa Apte will go through ways of integrating these two natural sciences.
