Practical skills to nurture healthy lives 

Our free healthy minds support initiative is tailored for parents who wish to improve their children's mental health and wellbeing. We provide practical solutions and tools founded by integral health experts (suitable for children aged 10+).

The Flame, leaders in Right-Mindfulness, Holistic Health and Wellness, ran a specialised free event led by mental health professionals and experts with an aim to provide parents and children with practical integral solutions, tools and support to reduce and overcome anxiety, panic, stress and depression that children and young teenagers

may be facing as a result of the current mental health crisis. We held our 1st event on Sunday 6th Dec 2020.

Teacher Aisling and Victim Support Advocate Angela set the context and discussed the current challenges children are facing in their respective

fields on-the-ground.

Director of NH Neuro Training Natalie, explored the brain processes which underlie and impact behavior: discussing the impact of trauma and the implications of current circumstances

on youth mental health.

London based Psychotherapist's Edwardo and Judith presented 'Healing approaches in challenges times' and discussed parenting skills and how to identify children's stress levels. 

International pioneer in Mindfulness based health intervention/psychotherapist Master Dav and Child play therapist Jo presented practical self-help solutions with foundations in conscious parenting, heart coherence and right-mindfulness.

(DISCLAIMER: The Metta exercise can invoke emotional intensity, we recommend this meditation is only done after, at least 2 weeks, of heart coherence meditation)

FOR INSOMNIA

  • RUB WARM OIL ON SOLES OF FEET -  Sesame oil, almond oil or Ghee

  • AYURVEDIC GOLDEN MILK - Hot milk, ginger, turmeric and cinnamon

FOR DYSREGULATION e.g anger, anxiety, stress, fear

Natalie works within the alternative education sector, taking a trauma informed approach to reducing school exclusions and barriers to learning.

"Currently I works as a child and adolescent mental health practitioner in the looked after children's team. Jo's work involves one to one therapy with children as well as group work.
