With over 30+ years experience, Dav is an expert specialist in transforming health and wellness, He is a mind-body medicine expert, pioneer of right-mindfulness based health intervention and a prominent figure in transpersonal (psycho-spiritual) & transformative health and wellness medicine, as well as a Public speaker. He is a pioneer of mindfulness and contemplative based health interventions in the UK, with over 25 years of experience in developing, teaching and working with mindfulness, and mindfulness-based approaches and models within the health, public and the private sector that has earned him international respect and recognition, making him and his approaches highly sought after. Dav facilitates all the Mindfulness classes, workshops, courses and retreats at The Flame.

Exuberant authentic leadership facilitator and scientist Sonya founded the 'Ancient Feminine Wisdom Series' which focuses on teaching women how to optimise their reproductive and general health and wellbeing through ancient feminine wisdom, holistic practices and indigenous medicine. She is passionate about Neuroscience, Epigenetics and exposing the joy of human connection; her unique expertise lie in human health and wellness, the human condition, and ethical communications. Sonya approaches both professional and personal development from a right-mindful standpoint and encourages individuals to tap into their human potential through mindfulness and holistic health interventions, rooted in ancient wisdom, which results in individuals living authentically, fruitfully and purposefully.
Meet The Teachers
Nuala has been teaching T’ai Chi at The Flame for over 3 years and at other venues in Coventry for over 5 years. In addition to her classes open to all Nuala has regular classes at the Coventry Resource Centre for The Blind and a variety of Care Homes across Coventry and Warwickshire.
After training with the Association of Traditional Martial Arts for 19 years Nuala decided to turn her enthusiasm for T’ai Chi into a permanent lifestyle change and gave up her day job to teach T’ai Chi full-time. She is a 3rd Dan in Karate, there is no equivalent belt system for T’ai Chi; the joy is in the journey not the destination. The two different but complementary disciplines go well together, the yin and yang of a hard and soft art each bringing something to the other.
Many people don’t think of T’ai Chi as a Martial Art but it undoubtedly is. Dating back centuries, it is the stuff of legend and for many years a closely guarded secret practiced by a single family in China. In those days it was very much a fighting art used in self-defence. However, it was also developed for its health giving properties and has always been intertwined with meditation and the development of internal discipline with an emphasis on the whole person, valuing not just physical prowess but also spiritual strength.
Nuala’s classes are informal and relaxed allowing the students to explore and find out how T’ai Chi can benefit them. We are all different and the beauty of T’ai Chi is that it has something for everyone and can be adapted for all levels of ability. She describes each class as an hour of time just for you where you can gently stretch yourself physically but also find peace and leave feeling better in both mind and body.
Master Jim Bacon

Expert in Chi Kung, Master Jim Bacon has over 20+ years experience in teaching Chi Kung. Jim's practice developed through his dedication to Eastern Kung Fu and martial arts. He has learnt from Shaolin Monk masters in China. Jim teachers Chi Kung every Tuesday and Sunday at The Flame.
Elemental Chi Kung Is a progressive approach to chi kung that incorporates classic styles and philosophies with modern body-mind and energy concepts.

I qualified as a Yoga teacher after a 10 year practice with various teachers in Coventry, Bristol and then India.
I have just completed a Mantra course with Radha Sudararajan a student of the late Desikachar, Krishnamacharya's son (Mantra royalty). I feel blessed with the opportunities to deepen my practice with such a legend in her field and bring back knowledge to share with in my classes. I aim to help people feel great and begin to heal themselves through the power of massage, pranayama, mantra, meditation and yoga.
I am a KRI (Kundalini Research Institute) Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Starchild (children’s) Yoga Teacher and Level 1 & 2 Gong Practitioner.
I have been practicing Kundalini Yoga for about 10 years now. In 2015 I’ve decided to deepen my knowledge and attended Kundalini Yoga Teachers Training in UK. From 2016 onward I have started teaching Kundalini Yoga to adults.
With Kundalini Yoga I came into the realisation that I am not able to change the incidents around me and outside me however with my Kundalini Yoga practice I strengthen my nervous system and can mediate the effects on me. Kundalini Yoga, the yoga of awareness brought consciousness into my life and I began to feel the benefits of a real mind, body and spirit balance.
Throughout my practice and experience I found that integrating Kundalini Yoga practice into the todays demanding modern life and schedule is quite possible. Through a combination of different techniques the results and the difference it makes in one’s own life quality can be witnessed. Born in to parents who were medical doctors, I have always appraised the miracle of helping and healing people, which also compelled me to help and guide others
